Welcome to the Lydia Can’t Breathe Blog.

Formed in Melbourne, FL in June 2003, Lydia Can’t Breathe performs their own unique style of metal with pounding magnitude of conviction and fierce blood sweat passion. Developing a sound that is not completely unfamiliar to their genre, it is their individual influences that yield a refreshing look at metal with a conscious disregard for current trends that make their shows not only impressive and memorable, but leave the audience wanting to hear more!

The band project was initially conceived by vocalists Kyle Bolduc; which were first called Fat Dan Mafia after the newly acquired guitarist Dan Wilson. After recruiting guitarist Dirk “TOG” Grobb, the band eventually started the inevitable local gigging process. In time, along with perfecting their skills over their numerous shows, they improved on their name as well drawing on inspiration from the beloved Beetlejuice character; Lydia. After a years time Lydia Can’t Breathe was forced to fill a vacant drummer position and decided that Josh Runfeldt was the man for the job. The most recent change was selecting Shad Roundy to fill at a bass guitarist. They have been performing throughout central Florida mostly on the east beach side perfecting their skills and building a huge fan base through numerous shows. They’ve shared the stage with bands such as; Architect, Dance Club Massacre, Last Chance to Reason, The Network, Dead Man in Reno, and Autumn Offering.
